APRIL FOOLS' DAY

Hope everyone has had a good day. Don't think I've heard anybody say "April Fool" in several years. Do folks not do that any more? Don't I remember that we made much ado about?

Funny you ask about the April Fool's tradition, Lucy, I was just thinking about that today. My dad Marvin never ever missed - he would always come up with some startling announcement that was almost believable. I have kept it up until today when I got notice in the mail that I won the Massachusetts $13,458,000 lottery and was just so stunned I couldn't think of any tricks to play.

Yesterday, I chaperoned a group from the Newcomers' School for newly arrived second language students. One of the girls who is from Jordan asked me if we tell a lie on April 1st. I think this custom of tricking and/or lying goes far beyond the United States. We went in the rain to the Guilford Battleground (Revolutionary War) site and watched films, ate lunch, and rode around the battleground. Hope you had a good day. To the best of my knowledge, I told no lies nor had no lies told to me.
