For you non-Russellvillians: Jim Turner has started a new newspaper, Logan Independent Journal. Go to his Logan & Beyond site shown on our links, and click on LIJ on the home page. It is being distributed free in Logan County, but Jim will arrange to mail for the cost of postage. We have badly needed a new source of local news, and I surely wish Jim well with this endeavor.

Thanks for the info Lucy. I signed up (free) for online access to LIJ, and read Jim Turner's interesting article on our old gym, and plans by the band boosters to sell pieces of the flooring. The Logan Independent Journal looks like it's off to a good start, and I certainly wish Jim well in his endeavor.
Jim's blog, loganandbeyond, has a nice mention of us and this blog today, and also a piece about Hilda Willis and her entry into the Hall of Fame. Miss Willis came to RHS our senior year in an attempt to repair damage of our previous math classes. It was her first year teaching, and there were just five or six of us in her class. I had shared her naming last year with a few of you.
Nice to hear that Hilda Willis made it into the Hall of Fame, a well-deserved recognition. She was an excellent teacher. Also glad to see Jim's reference to our blog.
