And here is the cleaned-up photo of the old Gym swimming pool. I too remember the Clorox foot bath we had to go through to get in. Yikes! Lucy, glad you made one last pilgrimage down to this old swimming pool. You may be the last one to have a clear memory of what it looked like as above, as it did when we used it, and what it does today.

Keith - Thanks for doing these pictures. "Photoshop" is an amazing thing for old pictures.
I am truly envious of Lucy's excursion into the bowels of the gym to view the old swimming pool. Thanks for sharing that, Lucy.

Lucy, I'm trying to get my bearings in the swimming pool. Were those windows facing south toward the stadium?
Yes, you are looking east, toward the deep end. These pictures are from the 1923 Logan Female College catalogue, and the Gym was brand new, advertised with "steam heat" - guess that's the radiator on the wall. Of course, Rhea Stadium wasn't built until 1938-39.
Lucy, did you get a photo of the swimming pool in its final hours or are you like me totally without camera?

I'm not a photographer, but I'm sure there will be pictures. But the building is still standing, and the stage floor is still intact, so the pool is not exposed - yet.
