Andy suggested posting the old photo of the basketball court in the Gym, so here 'tis. I cleaned up the scratchy photo in photoshop. There have already been many comments on this in the "Trip Down Memory Lane" original post from Lucy.

Keith, how marvelous to see that cleaned up photo and relive the memories of going to games in that old gym. There were gyms in the county that were built along that line of the high walls around the floor. It seems like they all had those walls but memory may be playing tricks. I went to county games because of Daddy's position as superintendent with the county schools.

That seems to have been a fairly standard design for gyms of a certain era. Think the one at Chandlers was the last of those in the county.
Lucy, how much were they selling pieces of the gym floor for? I just wondered. That would be a nice piece of memorabilia to have if the price weren't too steep.

The Band Boosters have not finanlized their plans, so I don't know cost. As I understand, there will be some sort of small brass plaque attached to the pieces.
