Snow cardinals

These female and male cardinals are out feeding on our deck this morning. They make a nice colorful contrast with the background snow.  And this ongoing snowstorm is really starting to crank up, no sign of letting up.

Keith, your birds are certainly more beautiful than the crows who are flyhing around here and I am watching peck away at a branch outside my window. I hope that your snow stops soon and that you don't lose power. Charlotte, your birds do sound beautiful and exotic. My cats would certainly be interested and inquisitive.

I love cardinals, but for some reason I haven't seen any. I've got to get to my feeders again today; the little brown jobs do love the sunflower seeds.
